Well, we did it. We’ve managed to keep something this weird going for 4 years (apart from a few month’s hiatus in 2013). When we put together the first Monster Planet mission together on a whim in April of 2010 we didn’t expect to be asked if we wanted to do it as a monthly, and we certainly didn’t know if it was going to last this long. This is a testament to Seattle’s experimental music community and how much passion there is to create unique experiences. All of us at Synprov Corp want to extend a big thank you to all of those that have contributed to the exploration of Monster Planet over the last four years!

Monster Planet is an ever-expanding collective of producers, musicians, sound designers, visual artists, and B-movie enthusiasts. Every month different performers improvise a soundtrack to some of the most bizarre and cheesy B-movies they can find, creating a surreal mix of continuously evolving ambient/experimental/drone music and obscure, low budget cinema.
Come down and enjoy a nice cocktail or two while having your brain fried with sonic bliss and movies so shockingly bad that they have to exist in order to keep balance in the universe.
